Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I’m SO excited to share my bridal shower with you!
It’s no secret that I wish we had a longer engagement, lol. For no other reason than to wear dresses like this Saba Blanc Midi Dress, and prance around in all the flower crowns and glitter sashes. Technically, we have until September for the reception, but in my mind, it feels like I’m not a bride after August. Bottom line, eloping is a messy (but really fun) thing. 😂
My cousin, Amy, hosted My Brunch and Bubbly Bridal Shower with my family a few weeks ago, and now I get to celebrate again with my besties!
The Details
On Sunday, my high school girlfriends outdid themselves by hosting a stunning garden-inspired bridal shower. It was complete with a bouquet bar, sangria bar, balloon garland, and allll the charcuterie your heart could desire.
Early on during our relationship, MG & I bonded over our love of charcuterie. I would generally eat all of the cheese and pickles and he would eat the meat (#balance). I love how the girls tied in some details of our relationship story.
After years of talking about “one day when I get married…”, it was surreal to finally celebrate this moment! These girls have been by my side through all of life’s crazy twists and turns for the past 10+ years, and I consider them sisters. To celebrate with them, their moms (and brothers lol), was an absolute “pinch me” moment.
I thought I had seen everything Pinterest had to offer when it came to bridal showers, but hunni was I was wrong! One of my favorite parts of the shower was the flower bar! Ashley gathered up a ton of eucalyptus, ranunculus, daisies, and carnations to make bouquets as a party favor.
How well do you know me?
Bridal shower games can get pretty dumb, but I laughed my butt off playing this shoe game! The girls read off questions like “Who said I love you first?” and we both held up the person’s shoe for who did it. Can you guess who said “I love you first”? We didn’t say it until 13 months of dating!
This weekend was packed full of wedding stuff. We had a mini session with Emily Eileen on Saturday night which made the weekend like a double whammy for MG. He even picked up 2 overnight shift to try to get out of it, butttt 😏 nice try.
Thank you x a million
I can’t thank the girls enough for making me feel so very loved. I’m genuinely so nervous for Lauren and Alie to get married because I don’t think I can outdo what they did for me! Everyone at the shower truly went out of their way to bring me the most happiness! By the time I drove home, it was pouringgg down rain. I joked to Mike that I’m not a crier, but the sky was crying for me. Just so many (v v happy) emotions!
Only 25 days until we leave for Alaska! 😲
xx, Chelsea
