Raise your hand if you have ever spent over $100 on photo Christmas Cards? 🙋🏼♀️
Well, those days are over!
In this post, I’m going to detail exactly how I created and printed these Christmas cards (from my phone) for a fraction of the cost. And I had them in hand in 48 hours after taking the photos! If you are more of a video gal, you can watch my TikTok here.
Step 1: Search “Templett Christmas Card”
Or search “instant download”, but I know if Templett is in the listing, it will be user-friendly. There are so many lovely designs to choose from, but this toile print immediately stole my attention. I’m all about the grandmillenial style. The shop on Instagram is “@piperandfinch_”. She is a wedding stationary designer out of St. Louis.
*Don’t forget to check what elements of the design can and cannot be changed in Templett!* This is usually in the item description on Etsy.
When I purchased the listing for this card, I immediately received an email from Templett. This email had a link which took me to create an account and start editing my design.
As a former Etsy shop owner, it means so much when you favorite a shop and listing by clicking the heart icon. I’d love it if you could do that for someone today!
I uploaded some of our Charleston Pregnancy Announcement photos under “Elements” and started changing the text. This design is particularly lovely because it comes with an alternate back-of-card with the full toile print. Because this is our Happy New Year/ pregnancy announcement card, I opted for another photo on the back. Then, download your design and move on to step 2!
Step 2: Print!
There are a few options here. I chose the quickest option, to print at Office Depot. With one-sided cards, you can pick them up same-day. This card is two-sided, so it had to ship. Shoot, these cards would have been $10 cheaper if they didn’t have to ship!
On the Office Depot website, navigate to “Services”, then click “Print & Copy”, then “Cards & Invitations”. Upload your design, select the size, and purchase. The Etsy listing will also detail which size the card is designed to be. This one is 5×7.
Step 3: Purchase Postage & Envelopes
I purchased these self-sealing envelopes, and I will never go back to a regular one! Love the color, love that I don’t have to lick it, just love everything about it.
I purchased $0.35 stamps, and away they go! You can order custom monogrammed stamps from Minted and seal the cards with a wax seal if you want that extra oomph.
That’s it! Easy as pie. Hope this helps you for your next holiday card or announcement!

Chelsea
