Ruffles are still going strong for 2019

Ruffles made a maj comeback during 2018 September New York Fashion Week. Michael Kors, Rodarte, & Carolina Herrera premiered show-stopping, ruffle-clad looks. My personal fave was Michael Kors: an all-black-everything resort look—a black bikini top, black hoodie and black tulle ruffled pants.

When I think back about my closet during middle school, high school, & college, it’s scary how long I got away with dressing like a toddler. Ruffles & pink went together like PB&J. There was no intersection of dark and moody meets feminine and detailed. BUT NOW we are living, ppl. Retailers have caught up with designers and there is a ruffle for every style.

This ruffle mini dress caught my eye because I have about 1239018 bridal and baby showers to go to this summer, and it was made for an event like that! It’s so stinking cute!! But obvi, I been very into pink lately. Did you see my blush romper in The Perfect Light Pink Romper for Valentine’s Day?

Like I said, ruffles never really found their way out of my closet. Nowadays, I love to wear a white ruffle top or a subtle ruffle hem. Sometimes though, my inner kid comes out and I just have to go back to my roots. This little ruffle mini dress brought back all of the childhood memories. 🙂
