Since I was a little girl going to my cousins’ bridal showers, I dreamed of what my own bridal shower would be like. I could barely sleep for 2 nights because I was so excited! My cousin, Amy, hosted my brunch and bubbly bridal shower at her house in NC with my Aunt Carol. Everything Amy does is basically Pinterest come to life, so I wanted to share the day with you!
The Details
The shower was floral themed with some tropical hints. Early on in the wedding planning process, I was obsessed with everything palm, and I envisioned little gold pineapples everywhere lol. Ruthie & I finally came to an agreement on the theme, so I was happy to still experience all the pink & pineapple I was dreaming of! Amy did such an amazing job of tying in the colors from the invitation to the décor and the games. She even cored out pineapples to make vases, it was perfect!
Games
For games, we played “How Well Do You Know the Bride?”, “What Did The Groom Say?”, and “Disney Love Song”. It was such a fun mix of games! Mike couldn’t come (because work, what’s new), but I love how she still involved him! 🤗
Outfit Details
Shoes
I have been eyeing these Schutz Yvi Strappy Sandals forever now, but I haven’t had a reason to wear them! They come in the most gorgeous neon colors and a variety of heights. Obvi, I went for the highest height. I mean, shout out to MG for proposing so I had a baller excuse to rock these.
Headband
Bright, embellished headbands are the accessory of the season. I waited months on a waiting list for this Lele Sadoughi one. I tend to wear more solids and neutrals so that I can use nice accessories to make my outfits look unique. Come to think of it, I used to hate wearing headbands bc they were too tight on my head, and I would get a terrible headache. I mean, I did it because they were cute, but it was downright painful! These are quite the opposite. They are super soft and well-made. There’s free shipping/free returns if you don’t believe me!
Dress
Ya’ll, there isn’t a white dress on the shelves right now that I haven’t seen lol. I knew that I wanted a fitted dress with a statement sleeve, but a lot of dresses like that run around $300-400! I bought this Lilly Pulitzer Kayla Bell Sleeve dress for less than $200 from our local Ocean Palm. There’s an amazing one here for $60, and another beautiful one here (it was sold out when I was looking at it!). Bell sleeves are just super flattering on everyone, and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Thank you for reading and caring as much about kitchen appliances as I do. 🙂 If you didn’t catch our BTS registering process, click here to see some good pics of me torturing Mike. I hope you have the most wonderful week!
& a very special thank you to my Aunt Cindy who took these photos! She’s in business, ya’ll! Find her here!
xx, Chelsea
