We took a whirwind trip to Rhode Island this weekend for a very special wedding. One of Mike’s friends from PA school married the love of his life after being engaged for 3.5 years! Needless to say, we have been looking forward to this party for a long time!
The wedding was at Aldrich Mansion which is by far, one of the most gorgeous venues I’ve ever seen! You have to google the place to see it for yourself and read about the history!
We landed with less than an hour to be at Aldrich Mansion (😅), so I think we set a record for the amount of time it took to get ready.
We didn’t have a lot of time to spend in Rhode Island, but we wanted to maximize our time spent there. The day after the wedding, we took a ferry to Block Island, rode bikes, saw the Mohegan Bluffs, a lighthouse, and had some amazing seafood at The Oar. It was like a “pinch me, New England is beautiful” kind of day.
That night, we visited Providence for some amazing fajitas and skinny margs at Don Jose Tequilas. The next day, we went to Newport and did the Cliff Walk for a few hours before our flight! I mean…those mansions were the most extravagant houses I’ve ever seen outside of Million Dollar Listing New York/Zillow stalking! We walked along and made up stories for the families that lived inside each one of them. You do weird things when you spend hours on hours on days alone together, lol.
Thanks for reading this short little post! Have a wonderful Thursday!
