October came in hot, and I’m embracing every second of it not being in Baltimore anymore lol. Even though “Biltmore” autocorrects to “Baltimore”. 😂 With this easy outfit, I pulled in the gold and natural hues from the mules with a chunky gold necklace for our outing to the Biltmore Village Shops. Lately, I’ve been starting with “what shoes do I want to wear?” and work an outfit from there.
Altogether, this eyelash sweater, teddy coat, gold calf-hair mules, tote bag, fedora, two-tone chain bracelet, 38mm watch, delicate gold necklace, and chunky gold necklace came together as an inexpensive and versatile look for our little date to the Biltmore Village Shops last night!
In Asheville, the Historic Biltmore Village Shops are iconic. Abutting to the The Biltmore Estate, the shops are home to the most elite real estate offices in WNC, the country’s fanciest McDonald’s (grand piano, stone fireplace, the works), quaint boutiques, and my personal favorite Mexican restaurant. The uniformity of the brown shaker and cobblestone roads give this part of town an incredibly special feel.

My Favorite Biltmore Village Shops
Some of my favorite shops in the village are Porter & Prince, C&Co (an Asheville-based organic skincare company), Spartina 449, Williams-Sonoma, Palm Village, Nest, Scout Boutique, The Olde World Christmas Shoppe, Monkee’s, Lululemon, and the Gardener’s Cottage makes the most exquisite flower arrangements.
A local boutique in the Biltmore Village Shops, Nest, was hosting a happy hour, and I’ve been following them since April! Mike & I don’t know a soul in this town yet, but I’m bound and determined to make some girlfriends. Our neighborhood is full of people my parent’s age who keep volunteering to babysit when we have a kid. So, you could say I’m all set on the adopted parent front lol.
I had mentioned the happy hour to Mike earlier in the week, but never (in a million yrs) assumed he would want to go shopping with me. Before he starts his new job on Sunday, we have been spending all the time we can together this week.
Our First Week Living Together in 11 Months!
Before we left the house to celebrate, he mentioned that we should stop by the UpCountry Brewing then go to Nest and then Little Sprouts for dinner. We didn’t leave until 6, and the happy hour was 5-7 lol. Always pushing the clock. It wasn’t not because I had to have a nap at 4pm. Anyways, at 6:30, we were sitting at Upcountry. Me, drinking my first canned wine. I said “how close are we to Nest?” and he said oh, 15 minutes or so.
I genuinely don’t have a concept of this town yet because I’ve only driven straight to the house and back to VB.
I said ah, we are going to miss the happy hour, but that’s ok, i’ll go another day. He was not taking that for an answer and got in the jeep so fast I could barely keep up lol.
What I Bought
Long story short because this is feeling more like a diary entry, I’m the proud new owner of a vibrant pink shoulder-padded muscle tank. Similar to this one, but it was over double the price lol. As soon as we got home, I put it on to send a pic to Ruthie and we made pizzas and had the best night!
*Had the best night until Mike put on a movie with guns going off for a full 90 minutes* lol. Thank goodness when this house is complete, it’ll be 3,800 sq. ft.I think listening to gunshots before I go to bed triggers my Balti fight or flight.
Thanks for reading!
