Welcome to Baby Graham’s grandmillenial nursery (video tour on my TikTok)! 🤗 Can you believe he is here?! Because I brought him into this world….and it still blows my mind that this is all REAL.
You all blew me away with DMs asking where everything is from, so I thought we should make this a dedicated post. In addition to sourcing where I purchased the items for this room, I’ll share 5 insightful tips to creating your own dream nursery.
Where Do I Start?
I’ll be honest… It took me a while to decide how to decorate a baby boy’s nursery. My color palette is white, pink, and beige, lol. How was I going to create a space for a boy without it being too “girly”?
Maybe you can relate, but I’ve had baby girl nursery décor pinned since Pinterest was invented. Needless to say, it was a shock to find out that I was having a boy, and I wrote about that in our Charleston Pregnancy Announcement. Many of you messaged me kind words of encouragement. I am thankful for every single message.
Looking back, I am so thankful that God blessed us with a boy. Graham is 11 weeks old now, and he has brought us joy beyond measure. Whoever said that dressing and decorating for a boy isn’t fun…didn’t know what they were doing. 😉
Nursery Glider
Our beloved glider! My best piece of advice is to start with the rug (lol, not taking my own advice here) and then the glider. This is where you will spend the most time. My non-negotiables for a nursery glider included: performance fabric, wingback for head support, ability to glide and recline, and aesthetics. The Everly Glider hit all of those marks.
I was so excited when DaVinci Baby reached out to work together. I have a paid partnership with DaVinci Baby, however, the opinions expressed about the Everly Glider are 100% my own.
Wallpaper
If you are an Instagram follower, you will remember the dozens of wallpaper samples that I shared on stories. The “runner ups” are saved to my highlights here. I chose the Peaceful Countryside Mural by Woodchip & Magnolia. The UK Post was hacked rightttt after I ordered the samples (what the heck??), so it didn’t ship for over a month. I was very close to choosing a runner up, but I’m thankful that this arrived in the nick of time. It also comes in pink, green, and gray. They are all ✨stunning✨.
Rug
TBD. In the process of creating a custom oushak rug! 98% of you voted that you wanted to see the oushak customization process like I shared for my Dressing Room rug…so here we go! In the meantime, I pulled this 8×8 ft rug from another bedroom.
Crib
I had my eye on the Camellia crib, and scored it for under $200. My advice is to add it to your cart early and watch for sales.
Window Treatment
Hello, custom curtains for a fraction of the price! You can use code “CHELSEAADAMS” for 8% off your order.
Here is exactly what I ordered for Graham’s room:
- Liz Linen Drape Pleated
- Beige White
- Triple Pleat
- 80″ W x 101″ T
- Thermal blackout liner 250 GSM white finish (we cut this out because the drapes were too heavy)
I had several companies reach out for collaboration on window treatment, but I chose to work with TwoPages because they have the BEST resources. They published several guides to help you find exactly what L/W (and weight!!) to order based on what kind of stacked look you want.
We went back and forth with them because the panels I ordered were 40 lbs each lol and they kept bending the rod and pulling out of the wall! They listened to my relentless request to create a weight guide for the drapes for ya’ll.
The DAY I went to the hospital, we heard them snap off the wall. Mike was….not happy 😅. We are switching to this Room Darkening Double French Rod.
To solve the blackout issue, we installed this Classic Blackout Roller Shade. We also have these cheap sheer drapes installed.
I have a paid partnership with TwoPages, however, the opinions expressed about the Liz Linen Drapes are 100% my own. Clearly, I love these so much because I ordered the velvet drapes for my dressing room.

5 Tips to Create Your Dream Grandmillenial Nursery
1. Vintage/Unique Hardware
I switched out the hardware on our dresser for these gorgeous Louis XVI escutcheon and ribbon ring pulls. Makes a WORLD of a difference.
2. Oushak Rug
I know they seem expensive, but it’s important to have a nontoxic place for your perfect baby to crawl and walk. By buying an oushak rug, you are supporting a small business and sustainability. These rugs are hand-dyed with vegetable colors and hand-knotted. They have so much character. If well-kept, they can be passed down for generations. Buy once, cry once.
3. Moulding & Mirror
My 2 favorite “M”s for creating a grandMillenial vibe in any room. Crown and wall moulding is timeless and it makes a huge impact. We used this exact moulding for the crown. If having a contractor install the moulding is out of the question, you can DIY! There are great tutorials on TikTok, and Etsy sells some DIY kits.
I love this mirror we have hanging over the changing table. It brings a lot of light into the room, and the Queen Anne style is such a statement. This one is a fraction of the cost of very similar designer mirrors!
4. Chinoiserie
The chinoiserie panel shown in the Tiktok video tour is from Caitlin Wilson. I took it to Hobby Lobby and chose the most grandmillenial frame I could find, which was gold bamboo. I figure that I have about 2 years until I have to move this downstairs and replace it with a Paw Patrol poster lol.
5. Lighting
Chandeliers, lamps, sconces, oh my. I got the most compliments on this wood-beaded chandelier. I’m always a fan of a chandelier…and an ever bigger fan if it is oversized. It’s 20% off right now with code “BLING”.
Don’t forget about Facebook Marketplace! I scored this table and lamp, and I’m always seeing fun lampshades pop up. Etsy also has some fun scalloped lamp shades.
