I figured while I was busy cutting out toxic people, environments, negativity, and stress, I would cut off a few inches of my hair! 12 inches to be exact! I am loving the blonde lob haircut for summer and I’m going to tell you all about how I came to decide on this fun little hairstyle.
Before you ask, this dress is House of Harlow Valence Dress (you might remember it from the Why We Are Eloping in Alaska post) and I used the 1 inch Hot Tools Curling Iron with Texturizing Finishing Spray. I had this little boho dress on because we grabbed some shots real quick before meeting my Pennsylvania photog friend Mariah on the beach for a little couples session!
Now can we take a second to gasp at this before photo. Can you even believe that is my head?! I hadn’t had my hair highlighted since January! Even then, I scooted into Studio 921 in between an anatomy lab and a case and asked for just as many foils as she could fit in an hour lol.
Woof. Never moving away again. Karlie Dare worked magic on my long root-dense hair, which isn’t a surprise because she is THE blonde lob haircut specialist and color-correction guru of Hampton Roads. Karlie uses Shwarzkopf blondeme bleach, olaplex protection, redken glaze, and fanola purple shampoo.
I have been so diligent about sleeping on my new silk pillow cases and I’ve noticed a HUGE change in my skin and hair in the morning. Will be reviewing those for you next week. I started with an Amazon silk brand, but ended up forking over more money for a quality product and you can 100% tell a difference.
I hope you have a happy July 4th weekend. It is so hot I can barely touch my steering wheel here lol, but I’ll be heading down to our river house for the family reunion!
xx, Chels
