1. Laurel & Blush
It’s hard to gauge why we need so many pillows, but we just do. This antelope tassel throw pillow stayed on my wish list for a year before I pulled the trigger, and it is by far my favorite. I did not splurge for the double sided, and I don’t regret that one bit. It comes in a variety of sizes, but I’m practicing restraint as to not end up in a Carol Baskin situation. I could easily find an excuse for this pillow in every room. The beige, the gray, the white. It’s a neutral home’s best friend.
2. LuxHoldups
This lucite and gold toilet paper holder falls into a “want” and not a “need” category, but nonetheless, it deserves a spot on the top 10. Admire it for all its glory. It shines extra bright when you run out of toilet paper. Don’t ask me how I found that out. It is the little things.
3. SJ SPENCE DESIGNS
SJ is a graduate of UGA and has only been in business one year! Her handmade designs are miniature masterpieces. So many beautiful designs for brides and special occasions as well as every day!
4. AZ Wood Wall Art
Delivery drivers frequent our house every day. They drive through all the construction and our neighborhood is constantly changing, so the least we can do is make our house number as visible as possible. Enter, this fabulous wooden plaque. As frequently as we move, we should have this company on speed dial by now.
5. Glam Queen Co.
Fabulous, right? What better way to say, yes I am still the queen of this virtual shower and you can kiss my behind, covid. The photo opportunities would be epic, but the memories would be even better. Her pearl-embellished bags are amazing as well. Gosh, is everything more fabulous in London?
6. OceanBeachGlass / Multicolored Straws
Lead-free, environmentally-friendly, zero waste, all the good stuff. Also of note, they come in two shades of pink: translucent and cotton candy.
7. LanaDreams
Lana is a mega talented artist who designed our watercolor crest after the mountain we got married on in Alaska. Now, it takes serious restraint to not have it laser printed on towels and anything that stands still. Some call it bougie, I call it southern flair. You just gotta check her designs out.
8. Nest / Asheville Boutique & DIY Studio
My love for Nest and the two female owners runs deep as you know from this post. This outfit was released at their private label release last week and it was definitely a crowd favorite.
9. Tricia Rae Baking Co.
There are a lot of baking kits, but this one is my favorite. Not only because of the 5 star reviews and customer photos, but because my Aunt Tricia makes the best southern food. I had to see what this woman was about. It turns out she has perfected the fickle art of the French Macaron. See for yourself and keep yourself from going crazy during the second lockdown.
10. Freshwater Pearl Mask & Eyeglasses Chain: Handmade by Me! 🙂
Consider this a shameless plug, but I am happy to make you one of my best baby freshwater pearl face masks! The pearls are locally sourced and cured, and they come in matching child lengths. More colors and styles will be added this weekend! The mask chains are 30% off right now.
11. Swig
Swig gets points for insulating and being cute, but even more bonus points for their amazing customer service. When I was in Baltimore, one of my tumblers was stolen from the hospital, and without hesitation they sent me a new one for free. By no means is that part of their policy, but they seem to really care about their customers.
12. Cailtin Wilson Design
It is a diminutive stretch to call Caitlin Wilson a small business, but nonetheless, she is still a female-owned private company and mom of 5 kids. Goals. Her dreamy pink and blue Christmas decor is so precious that it had to make this list in some fashion. Enjoy for inspiration or shopping purposes, however you see fit.
There are so many more deserving small businesses! Comment your favorite small business to shop and I am happy to share. Hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend!
xx, Chels
