A brand new year is here! Welcome to 2021, friends! I don’t know about you, but creating my new year resolutions 2021 was so much harder this year. I’d rather be doing something fru fru like shooting an emerald sequin ball gown at Max Patch (post here).
Hair guru, Jen Atkin, posted about her intention setting method. Make sure to save these 2021 Intention Setting worksheets and put an alarm on your phone for the first of every month. Come back to these intentions you set to see if you are still on track.
Please remember that it is perfectly okay to stay the same. You are in control of your life and if what you are doing is working for you, don’t feel like you need to re-evaluate everything just because that is culturally what everyone does on Jan. 1 each year. If you are happy the way your life is right now, stay happy.
Execute: To carry out or put into effect
My 2020 vision word was “execute”. I excel at dreaming and creatively thinking up new ways to solve problems. However, I reflected on how I could improve in moving towards my long-term goals. So, I focused on executing my goals beyond the dreaming stage. Where the fun part ends and the hard work begins.
Every single day, I woke up and envisioned the word “execute”. It’s how I grew skin so thick I moved states just months after getting married to work in trauma surgery. I removed emotions and executed.
Focus: concentrated attention on the most important problems
In 2021, my vision word is focus. Again, I am a creative with a lot of plates spinning in the air. Let’s say fine monogrammed china spinning in the air and we can’t afford for any of them to drop.
When I started tracking my metrics, I saw that my lack of focus is costing me both financially and at the cost of my happiness.
This year, I am not making a resolution to lose weight or workout more…for the first time ever, lol! All of my goals are centered on my business, personal growth, and my relationships. I plan to spend more time talking to friends, trying new raw vegan recipes, and less time worries about the little things.
What are you planning to change or keep the same in 2021? What are your new year resolutions 2021?
My Daily Schedule
So many people have asked what my daily routine is after replying to DMs at 5AM, so here it is!
I love to start the day here in my office. I normally “work” Wednesday-Sunday, so I wake up around 5:30 naturally, stay in bed and respond to DMs and comments on IG until 6:30. Then, I drink a Strike Force or coffee while I catch up on emails from 7-8. I workout and shower, then package mask chain orders (what I was doing in this photo) or custom bride jacket orders that came in from Etsy and ship them off before 1pm.
After I get back from the post office, I hang out with Mike before he leaves around 2pm. Then, I shoot outstanding campaigns, edit photo and video content, draft and schedule my pitches, plan my tiktoks, search and apply to medical device jobs, go on a neighborhood walk around 5pm, eat dinner, and work in bed until about 10:30pm.
Some days, my schedule gets thrown out the window so I can capture the best light for campaigns. Some days I need a mental health day. If my work is done, my Etsy customers and husband are happy, then I did a great job.
Wishing you a wonderful 2021, friends! Let me know if you like these worksheets!
xx, Chels
