Finding a good, staple wedge is like striking gold. There are a lot of wedges out there that look super cute, but they make you feel like you’re walking on stilts. On the other hand, there are wedges that make you feel like you could walk a marathon…only you wouldn’t be caught dead in them. These Marc Fisher LTD Adalyn Espadrille Wedges have made it to the very top of my list. They come in every color imaginable, and they are so comfortable!
First thing I did when I got these wedges in the mail was shoved one on MG’s foot (without his consent). I’m not proud. Ya’ll, I was so happy about the way these shoes felt!!
Since my sorority days, I have been on a mission to find the best wedges. During recruitment at JMU, we spent hours walking (up and down stairs), standing, stomping, chanting, all of the crazy things lol. Every year, my mom and I would go to MacArthur Mall and I would try on all of the wedges that they had to offer! We would sometimes be there until the mall closed. If there is one thing I miss about youth, it is shopping with my mom! Often times, I would gravitate towards off-brand shoes. I feel like some of the best-made shoes in general don’t get the attention that they deserve! These are def on brand, but the Big Budda Wedges linked above are from Walmart. They look very similar to the Marc Fisher version, but they are only $14.99 (with 4.5 stars!).
Wedges > All Other Shoes
I’m definitely partial towards wedges over pumps, kitten heels, etc. because I feel like it is the year-round, “going-out shoe” in Virginia Beach. The temperature is warm here most of the year, and it’s almost always appropriate to wear an open-toe wedge. You can dress a wedge up, or dress it down for a more casual look. It’s kind of ironic that these shoes have become my favorite because in high school, I actually gave away my favorite pair of Candies wedges! An ex boyfriend told me that he thought they looked stupid, and I was dumb enough to listen to him lol.
*This is just my personal rule, but anytime you have the opportunity to match your wedges to your Yurman accessories, you should do just that.*
I had my eye on these babies for probably 3 months before I pulled the trigger in August. Green shoes seemed difficult to fold into outfits, but they are now a staple in my closet. I pair them with white, cream, gray, tan, black, and darker greens.
Thanks for reading!! Comment below and tell me your favorite style of shoe!
