It is 1000% the most wonderful time of the year. And, ya’ll, this was the best day ever! After the proposal, we made our way through Downtown Charleston to take our Christmas card picture. Does anybody recognize this place from a Bravo reality show?!
Shop My Outfit
When we started talking to Clair about taking updated pictures for us, a Christmas card wasn’t even on my radar. I figured that I would be propping up my tripod in the yard somewhere and bribing Mike with a trip to Reaver. Then, Clair suggested an outfit change, and gosh! I am so thankful! She and Natasha captured some of my favorite moments of all time here. This is when my blood pressure started to come down a notch and it actually started to sink in that ~*ok wow we just got engaged*~
What I’m Wearing
I felt like a real Christmas Princess in this Calvin Klein Open-Back Halter Gown (less than $200) and Pottery Barn Lynbrook Plaid Throw (less than $28). The throw is sold out, but the Russel Plaid Throw is my second fave. PB will even monogram these throws! How good would a big ol’ G look on this blanket!
All of the jewelry photographed here is sentimental to me. My late Aunt Barbara gifted me these gorgeous Swarovski earrings for Christmas when I was in college, and I was always too nervous to wear them to a sorority event! This particular style was a limited edition, but the Louison Pearl Pierced Earrings are similar (and less than $90!). I was so excited to finally wear them outside of my house with the blue sapphire ring that my Nanny gave me (no link because #NavyExchange), and the David Yurman ‘Petite Wheaton’ Bracelet with Prasiolote that my parents gave me for Christmas last year. Andddd my engagement ring AHH!!
Did You Guess Southern Charm?!
Did you remember what Bravo reality show featured Hibernian Hall? If you guessed Southern Charm, then you are right! Patricia Altschul hosted a Winter Ball here on the Season 5 Finale. This stunning Greek Revival-style meeting place was built in 1840. It was a sight to behold, but to be honest, everywhere you look in Charleston is historic and gorgeous. I didn’t recognize it right away, but Natasha jogged my memory.
Our Incredible Photographers
We can’t thank the incredible Clair from Clair Shorter Photography and Natasha from Natasha Coyle Photography enough for this Christmas card. We will forever treasure these photos and the time spent with these women! I could write a whole post about how amazing these women are, but I’ll just say if you live in Charleston or anywhere near the area, contact them!
Thank you for tuning in to my Christmas card post! Sign up for my bimonthly monthly emails here and comment below to let me know which holiday movie we should watch next!
